The Little Flowers Summer Camp is a non-profit Catholic camp located in beautiful Northern California, for girls age 9-16. It was started in 1996, with the goal of providing girls with solid Catholic ideals and virtues, along with loads of fun! Campers participate in a variety of exciting activities including archery, hiking, crafts, skits and games, spiritual talks, and daily Mass. Each year focuses on a different aspect of the rich Catholic Faith – past themes have included “Saint Paul’s Boot Camp”, “Called to Be Saints”, and years dedicated to the Eucharist, the Holy Spirit, and the Rosary. Many girls return year after year, and have the opportunity to develop leadership skills by becoming counselors and staff. The friendships formed and memories made will be with the girls all their lives.

Saint Therese of Lisieux, known as “The Little Flower”, is one of the Catholic Church’s most beloved saints. Although she lived only 24 years (1873-1897), she was gifted with a great intimacy with God, and has touched countless lives through her autobiography, “The Story of a Soul.” Many people have obtained favors through her intercession, and millions have imitated her “little way” – sanctification through doing small deeds with great love.

She is one of the few saints who has been honored with the title “Doctor of the Church.” Because she was a young woman and lived a seemingly “ordinary” life, Saint Therese is an exceptional role model for girls and a powerful patroness for the Little Flowers Summer Camp.
